The Sunday Times: Book your glamping stay now

Yearning for a getaway in 2021? UK staycation it is.

According to the Sunday Times (31 January 2021), you better get organised now if you plan to get away from the four walls you are currently bound to occupy due to government restrictions.  The authors anticipate peak periods like Easter and the summer term to be “irritatingly busy” and that there might be resentment from locals. However, that should not put you off planning your well-deserved getaway.

We agree that the nation’s beauty spots, like Flamborough’s heritage coast with its serene beaches and myriad of nature trails, are there for the enjoyment of all. Having spent the past eighteen month setting up a new glamping site with eight identical luxury pods and a newly planted vineyard, we cannot wait to share the beautiful site and its surroundings with our first guests.

Spending time in nature instead of a city trip? A no-brainer!

Spending time in beautiful nature spots as opposed to cities seems to be a no-brainer at this moment in time. No wonder, glamping and camping sites are seeing a sharp interest in bookings.

According to the article, UK bookings on camping websites have increased by 95 percent while enquiries for holidays abroad have declined. Pet-friendly accommodation and those with hot tubs have been particularly sought after, according to Awaze, the UK’s largest holiday cottage operator.

The ability to spend most of your time outside with loved ones - human or furry, exploring beautiful nature spots and being able to walk for longer than the couple of meters to your bathroom or fridge seems strangely enticing, doesn’t it?

The i newspaper quotes Sarah and Steve Jarvis, who run the Independent Cottages website which lists more than 1,800 properties in the UK. They believe demand will once again outstrip supply.

Check the terms and conditions before booking

The Sunday Times article strongly recommends to check the terms whatever you book. If travel restrictions are reimposed, you should be confident that you won’t lose your money.

At Flamborough Glamping & Vineyard we offer you complete flexibility to move your bookings for up to 18 months in the event of Coronavirus-related travel restrictions.

So, if you want to ensure another view than that of your own four walls, act fast – act now. Book your stay with us.

We look forward to seeing you from Easter onwards!
