Glamping - Perfect for a weekend getaway or a family holiday!

WHAT IS GLAMPING?

Derived from the words ‘glamorous’ and ‘camping’, glamping is an outdoor escape that combines the closeness to nature associated with camping with the luxury and convenience of proper self-catered accommodation. It is a form of outdoor holidaying that means you don’t need to bring your own tent, sleeping bags and paraphernalia, instead, you can turn up to ready-pitched accommodation that is already kitted out with all the essentials that you need.

OUR LOCATION

Our glamping pods are on a two acre site nestled in amongst National Woodland Trust’s Whelkie Wynds Forest and the lovely Village of Flamborough. We’re based on Flamborough’s headland which means we’re basically out at sea surrounded by shores on three sides. You can smell the fresh sea air in the morning when stepping out on the decking and have your hot cup of tea or coffee while overlooking our newly established Yorkshire vineyard.

The pods are SIX metres apart form each other to ensure you get the tranquility and solitude we so love about this place.

OUR FACILITIES

Our luxurious glamping pods offer everything you require for a weekend away or a longer stay with the family. They house up to 4 people with a large bed for two and a comfortable sofa bed. Perfect for a couples getaway or a family holiday!

Each pod has 3 distinct spaces with an open plan kitchen/living space/bed space, a bedroom and a separate bathroom.

They feature a generously sized bathroom, full sized kitchen space and living space - some find them bigger and better than a lot of hotels in the country.

DOGS
Dogs are allowed but need to be kept under control at all times and never left alone in the pods.

WHAT’S UP WITH THOSE POD NAMES?

Each pod is named after one of the eight key species of seabird inhabiting Bempton cliffs’ face through the spring and summer months:

Gannet, Puffin, Kittiwake, Razorbill, Guillemot, Fulmar, Herring Gull and, last but not least Shag.

Yes, the latter is in fact a bird’s name. We might use it as the honeymoon suite as it’s situated the furthest away from the rest of the site.
